The iTunes 10.3 update brings support for iCloud – one of the most anticipated services from Apple. íTunes in the cloud’is already available for download. It will enable users to maintain their purchased content including apps, books and songs synchronized across 10 devices.Supported devices include Apple iPad 1, iPad 2, iPhone, iPod Touch, Windows and Mac computers. However, all the iOS devices should be running iOS 4.3.3 or future releases.
Besides this, another interesting feature is the iTunes 10.3 update is the ability to convfert user’s audio files into high-quality iTunes Match which refers to 256KBps AAC audio that’s DRM-free. However, the service would cost around $24.99 a year.
Here’s an excerpt from Steve Jobs’ WWDC address in this regard:
“Today it is a real hassle and very frustrating to keep all your information and content up-to-date across all your devices…iCloud keeps your important information and content up to date across all yourdevices. All of this happens automatically and wirelessly, and because it’s integrated into our apps you don’t even need to think about it – it all just works.”
Subsequently, Apple has also released iTunes 10.31, a minor update to the fresh-hot iTunes 10.3 which fixes the syncing issue.
