Only penguins can see solar eclipse!!!!

A peculiar partial solar eclipse will take place on Friday. It will, however, not be visible anywhere in the world except the Antarctica, where it is likely to be seen only by penguins and sea birds.

A peculiar partial solar eclipse will take place on Friday. It will, however, not be visible anywhere in the world except the Antarctica, where it is likely to be seen only by penguins and sea birds. Partial solar eclipses taking place over the polar region, such as this one over the Antarctica, are peculiar in the sense that the centre of the shadow of the moon just misses the earth, Arvind Paranjpye of Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics said.
The partial solar eclipse will begin at 1.23 p.m. Indian Standard Time and will end at 2.53 p.m. It will reach its maximum at 2.09 p.m. IST.
The total duration of the celestial phenomenon will be for about an hour and a half.
The partial solar eclipse will be visible from southern latitudes and the Antarctica, Science Popularisation Association of Communicators and Educators (SPACE) president C.B. Devgun told PTI.
This southern hemisphere event is visible from a D-shaped region in the Antarctic Ocean, to the south of Africa, Mr. Paranjpye said.

How to Increase the BATTERY LIFE of your Laptop..???

Here are several means to make your laptops’ battery last longer.

1. Darken your screen
Your laptop screen is found to be the most power-hungry component of your laptop. Your laptop screen needs high amount of battery power to maintain it’s clear and luminous display. To preserve this power you can adjust it’s brightness to a low level.

2. Modify power settings
Windows Vista powered laptop comes with several outstanding power features. It can help you get the most proficient performance when your laptop is plugged and optimize it’s life when it’s on the move.

3. Turn off Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is among the greatest battery power eater. It weakens your laptop’s battery from perpetually absorbing power from the battery even if your not online. If you are using your laptop outside from the wireless network it is more advisable to just turn off your Wi-Fi to save some power. If your laptop doesn’t have a function button to switch on or off your wireless adapter you can just go to control panel, access the Network Connections and disable it from there.

4. Switch off peripheral devices
USB sticks, mouse and webcams are the primary offenders in sucking out your batteries life.  Utilizing USB devices also contributes in draining your laptop’s power, disconnecting it when not in use, ejecting your devices as soon as possible and switching off your laptop’s inbuilt webcam can help conserve your laptop’s precious power.

5. Eject your disc drives
Having a disc spinning around in the drive also drains your resources. Just kick out your discs from the drive before you switch to battery power to acquire additional minutes from your work day.

6. Invest in some computer hardware
Usually laptops come with a six cell-battery, but a lot of makers today already provides eight or even 12-cell elective upgrades, which will definitely double your power. If you can afford it then why not invest more,  in the long run you will be surprise on how much energy and money you save just by investing on the right piece.

7. Disable features
Windows Vista has got new features, but most of them proves to be needless by a ordinary user or even to some expert users. One good example is the Windows Aero, switching it off not only it will help you save a small amount of power but it will also make your laptop more proficient.

5 Reasons To Choose Laptop Over Desktop...!!!

Many of us are so used to working on a computer desktop that when it comes time to purchase a new computer, we don't consider other options. Today, computer notebooks - which were once called laptops - offer a number of advantages over a computer desktop. Here are just five reasons why you should take a second look at notebooks.

1. Mobility
You might be used to pulling up a chair to your computer, but it makes much more sense to pull your computer up to your chair. Laptops can certainly be used at your desk, but you also have the option of bringing them to the spot where you're most comfortable. Maybe you'd like to surf the Web in the evening out in the living room or catch up on your favorite blogs before bedtime. Notebooks with wireless connectivity can travel with you throughout your home, so you can check your email or do your Internet shopping anywhere.

Of course, notebooks also make sense for those who are on the go. Students can take laptops to class and to the library, while business people can take them along while traveling. With WiFi so widely available, it even makes sense to have a notebook while on vacation. With the right notebook, it's easy to take photos with your digital camera, upload them, and email them to friends and family before you even get back home. Or you can use it to write a vacation blog and include those pictures from your digital camera.

2. Better DisplaysThe size and quality of computer notebook displays has improved so dramatically that there's little difference between laptops and a computer desktop. For example, you can get Apple's MacBook with a 13.3-inch LCD wide screen (1280 x 800 pixels), a 15.4-inch LCD wide screen (1440 x 900 pixels) or a 17-inch wide screen (1680 x 1050 pixels). Similarly, the Compaq Presario has a 15.4-inch display.

3. Lighter WeightJust a few years ago, even the lightest notebook was a pain to lug around. Today, though, laptops are increasingly easy on the back. The MacBook is slightly under an inch thick and the Toshiba Portege weighs in at about four pounds. While that's still heavy compared to come of the new ultralight convertibles (Fujitsu's LifeBook U810 weighs only a pound and half), it's a significant improvement over the old seven-pound laptops.

4. Better Computing and Battery Power
Historically, two drawbacks of notebooks were their limited RAM, limited space on the hard drive, and short battery life. Times have changed, though, and laptops now have as much power under the hood as their computer desktop cousins. The MacBook, for example, has 1GB of memory (configurable up to 4 GB) and a hard drive that's configurable to 250GB. This means that your software will hum right along and you'll be able to zip through programs as quickly and as easily as you do on your desktop. Likewise, batteries in today's notebooks don't heat up and don't conk out.

5. More Features
In older laptops, the computer's size and weight limited the number and types of features available. Today, with smaller processors and other components, there's room to pack more features into notebooks. For example, the MacBook has a DVD player, built-in webcam, built-in wireless capability, two USB ports and a FireWire port, built-in microphone, and audio and digital input/output.

There are so many advantages to owning notebooks that, before you buy your next computer, it's worth your while to take one for a spin.

Is MNC's Superior than Indian Companies

 MNCs Vs INDIAN COMPANIES

MNCs are growing in our country more and at very high speed, but this doesn't mean that the Indian companies are lagging behind than the MNCs.

The fact of the MNCs success is the Indian brain. Indian brains are helping the MNCs to promote their business. By this the Indian people get attracted because the MNCs provides the high amount of salary, better standard of living, discipline n world wide job opportunities.Due to the mnc's our country get lots of advantages like increasing in employment, development in industrial sector, improve in standard of living of Indian people and good thing is that it creates heavy competition by which development growth is increase etc. As India is developing country all these things are very essential for development of our country.

Even though India has allowed the entry for MNC's Indian companies in no way are inferior to them. There are large number of Indian companies being A listed companies. Just because MNC's provide good salary, higher standard of living etc it cannot be proved that Indian companies are inferior to them. Even Indian companies are working on various strategies like marketing, innovations, youth being involved with new ideas. MNC's being superior have no scope to expand without Indian brains but Indian companies do have a huge scope for expansion & diversification which can make it far more superior to the MNC. We have to improve the standard of the Indian Company to develop our nation.

iTunes 10.3 Software Update Brings Support For iCloud Services and Much More...!!!!

The  brings support for iCloud – one of the most anticipated services from Apple. íTunes in the cloud’is already available for download. It will enable users to maintain their purchased content including apps, books and songs synchronized across 10 devices.Supported devices include Apple iPad 1, iPad 2, iPhone, iPod Touch, Windows and Mac computers. However, all the iOS devices should be running iOS 4.3.3 or future releases.

Besides this, another interesting feature is the  is the ability to convfert user’s audio files into high-quality iTunes Match which refers to 256KBps AAC audio that’s DRM-free. However, the service would cost around $24.99 a year.
Here’s an excerpt from Steve Jobs’ WWDC address in this regard:
“Today it is a real hassle and very frustrating to keep all your information and content up-to-date across all your devices…iCloud keeps your important information and content up to date across all yourdevices. All of this happens automatically and wirelessly, and because it’s integrated into our apps you don’t even need to think about it – it all just works.”
Subsequently, Apple has also released iTunes 10.31, a minor update to the fresh-hot iTunes 10.3 which fixes the syncing issue.

Use of "CELL PHONES" increases chances of "Cancer"

MOBILE PHONES that have become a part of our everyday life belong to the same “ carcinogenic hazard " along with lead, engine exhaust and chloroform, if the World Health Organisation (WHO) findings are taken into account. Research by WHO indicates that radiation from cell phones causes cancer.

People using cell phones may be prone to types of tumour, so people should be very careful of the energy that gets transmitted when they are using cell phones. Excess energy released by mobile phones may lead to Glioma and acoustic neuroma, which is a brain cancer and noncancerous tumor respectively. In the US around 10,000 people suffer from Glioma and 3000 suffer from acoustic neuroma every year.

The radiation that is emitted by cell phones is similar to that of a less powered microwave oven. "What microwave radiation does in most simplistic terms is similar to what happens to food in microwaves".

"" Please reduce the usage of mobile phones ""

Zero Rupee Note - To eliminate Corruption

ZERO RUPEE

This is a novel campaign launched by ’5th Pillar,’ a non-profit non-governmental organisation formed to fight the common enemy of the nation — corruption.

"The note is a way for any human being to say no to corruption without the fear of facing an encounter with persons in authority," 5th Pillar has declared in an official statement.

In 2007 a non-profit organization called 5th Pillar unveiled a new means for Indians to register their refusal to participate in bribery — the "zero rupee note".Closely patterned after the nation's fifty rupee notes, these documents instead included anti-corruption slogans

"Eliminate corruption at all levels"
and
"I promise to neither accept not give bribe".

The concept of privately-issued and valueless fantasy currency for use in the fight against corruption has recently been extended from India to two other nations suffering from endemic government bribery problems, Mexico and Nepal.
